Broadcasting Hope to Every Corner of the Earth

Galcom’s solar-powered audio and radio solutions equip missionaries to reach the unreached—no matter how remote the location.

Galcom exists to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ shared with every tribe, tongue, and nation. Their mission is to equip ministries and missionaries with the tools they need to reach the unreached—whether deep in rural villages, inside refugee camps, or across regions gaining access to mobile coverage for the first time. Every solution Galcom offers is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to hear the Good News in their own language.

To that end, Galcom designs and distributes solar-powered audio Bibles, live radio streaming tools, portable FM stations, and low-powered broadcast equipment—all engineered for durability, simplicity, and global impact. These tools allow the Gospel to reach beyond traditional barriers, bringing the message of hope to people regardless of geography, electricity, or literacy levels. Whether it’s the Compass audio Bible helping a village hear Scripture aloud or the OmniStation broadcasting life-saving messages in a disaster zone, Galcom’s solutions are built for both everyday ministry and urgent response.

Galcom also partners with churches and mission organizations to install community radio stations, train local teams, and support sustainable broadcasting efforts long-term. With more than 100 low-powered stations installed worldwide, Galcom’s presence continues to expand wherever there is spiritual need and opportunity. Through practical tools and strategic partnerships, they empower ministries to multiply their reach and share Christ’s love farther than ever before.

Ministry Tools

Equipping missionaries with innovative tools to share the Gospel anytime, anywhere.

Compass Solar-powered Radio and Audio Bible

The Compass offers enhanced audio quality, increased memory, a larger solar panel, and is tuneable and programmable in the field if needed. The audio Bible can be navigated with the help of audible and visual indicators to quickly find a specific book or chapter. The Navigation Help button “?” on the keypad gives the listening location audibly.

Galcom Streamer

The Galcom Streamer is a simple solution to stream live radio over the internet. Using Raspberry Pi* technology and hosting the streams on Galcom’s server, missionaries can reach their audience through their smartphones, tablets, laptops, or computers through the internet.

More and more unreached people groups in remote areas of the earth are getting access to mobile-phone coverage and smartphones. At Galcom, we want to reach everyone with the Gospel by any means possible.

Stream Receiver

The Stream Receiver is a turnkey solution that allows broadcasters to receive a web radio stream that can then be played on a local sound system. All you need to provide is power and an internet connection; the Receiver starts receiving immediately. Galcom will program the web radio URL for you. There is no technical setup other than connecting the audio output. If the power or the internet connection is intermittent, the stream will reconnect automatically. The unit can be accessed remotely for updates and technical support.

Galcom OmniStation

Over the years, Galcom has been asked to install small FM radio stations in troublesome areas. The possibility of the station being stolen or vandalized is a concern. How do we avoid this until things settle down?

Galcom has also been asked to support relief efforts with communication equipment. When power lines are down, how can victims receive vital information on where to find clean water, food, or medical attention? Galcom has distributed thousands of solar-powered, fix-tuned radios to supply people with the means to hear important emergency broadcasts. What happens when broadcasting operations are down as well?

Introducing the OmniStation, an all-in-one portable FM broadcast station. In about one hour, this microphone-to-antenna solution can be on the air. Main studio and broadcast components are contained in two rugged flight cases. These can also be taken as accompanied baggage on a commercial flight. The OmniStation comes with a high-gain omnidirectional antenna and runs on a universal voltage of 100-240 AC.

Low-Powered Broadcasting

Galcom International has helped more than one hundred low-power radio stations by researching, designing and installing towers, transmitters and studios. We custom-design every project to the unique conditions and needs of our ministry partners. Galcom International’s ministry focuses on “low-powered” broadcasting only. Low-powered radio broadcasting is typically considered to be any station with a transmitter of 2,000 watts of power or less. Politically, it is easier in many countries to receive approval for a low-powered or community license than a large commercial station license. Other technical missions such as Trans World Radio (TWR) or SonSet Solutions can help with high-powered broadcasting needs.
