The widow stands and listens. A voice she has never heard before is speaking in her language. It is telling her of strange and wonderful things. Around her children begin to gather. Some are orphans and some stand near their mothers. Many are diseased or crippled and others are dying with HIV/Aids. They are living in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world. Not only are they crippled by poverty and disease, but are experiencing a food crisis that threatens their already meager existence.
But now they stand, enraptured with the words that tell of God’s love and care for each of them. They hear about the AIDS disease and how they can stop the spread of it and care for those who suffer.
A week before, a local man brought the small box to the widow’s village. He set it up beside the well where everyone gathers. He was a local volunteer who works with the Nazarene Orphan Care.

The Nazarene Orphan Care ministry is a faith-based organization that is reaching out to Chewa widows and orphans in Malawi. This work is supported from finances raised through local volunteers. Over one million people are already dying of HIV/Aids and almost half of the population is illiterate. Because of this huge need, MegaVoice is partnering with The Nazarene Orphan Care Ministry to distribute 160 units with God’s Story, the New Testament, and an AIDS care message.
